As part of MAG activities of the Department of Food and Agriculture to improve productivity and the general livelihood of farmers in the District, the Department organized a session for farmers and other stakeholders along the Agricultural value chain at the District Assembly conference hall.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss farmer problems in the major crop production and how to solve them through policy intervention, extension and research.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss farmer problems in the major crop production and how to solve them through policy intervention, extension and research.
On the 27th July, 2022, the Suaman District Assembly held a General Assembly Meeting to elect a Presiding Member and also discuss developmental plans in the District.
In attendance to the meeting were The District Chief Executive (Hon. Philip Kwabena Boahen), the District Coordinating Director Mr. Emmanuel Kwame Fiebor, Assembly Members, Team from the Electoral Commission, HODs and other staff.
In a brief opening remarks, the DCD welcomed all the members to the meeting and followed by self-introduction by all members in the house.

The team from the Electoral Commission assisted the District Assembly to conduct an election to elect a New Presiding Member. Only one person, Hon. Stephenson Tandoh picked the nomination form for the position. Since he was the only candidate, the election was a “YES or NO” vote. He succeeded with a 100 percent vote and was sworn in by Hon. District Chief Executive, Philip Kwabena Boahen.
The Newly elected Presiding Member, Hon. Stephenson Tandoh gave an acceptance speech and proceeded to chair the meeting to read, correct, and approve minutes of previous meeting.

On 22nd July, 2022, the Internal Audit unit of SUADA held a meeting to discuss 4th quarter 2021 Internal Audit report and 2022 1st Quarter report and Management Letter at the District Assembly Hall.
The 2nd quarter Budget Committee took place at the District Assembly Hall on Tuesday 28th June 2022 at exactly 10:00am. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the financial statement of June, Mid-year 2022 Composite Budget performance and revenue improvement measure and way forward.
On the 13th of June, 2022, the Suaman District Assembly in the Western North Region has handed 200 desks to the District Education Directrate for onward distribution to needed public schools in the district
The procurement of the desk, which was funded with money from the Assembly’s share of the DACF was is response to a request made by the district education directorate.
At the handing over ceremony, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Philip K. Boahen emphasized the Assembly’s commitment in to provision of quality education in the area and gave assurance that the Assembly would not shirk it responsibilities to ensure that pupils received quality education.
Handing over the desk to the District Director of Education, he expressed gratitude to the Assembly for coming to their aid, indicating that the provision of furniture for the schools would go a long way to enhance learning in the schools.
The President of Ghana, H. E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has launched the the 2022 Edition of Green Ghana Day, at the Accra International Conference Centre. The theme for this year’s exercise is “Mobilizing for a Greener Future” and it is scheduled for June 10, 2022.
The Green Ghana Initiative seeks to create a collective action towards restoration of degraded landscapes in the country, mitigate climate change and inculcate in the youth the values of planting and nurturing trees and their associated benefits, he continued.
On the 13th of June 2022, the Suaman District Assembly together with the District Chief Executive initiated the Green Ghana project at the District Assembly to help commence the exercise in the district. Various institutions were present to grace the initiative.
The Internal Audit of Suaman District Assembly with it committee held and Inauguration ceremony on the 6th June 2022. The meeting was held at the conference Hall of the District Assembly and was conducted on the windows team platform which joined various MMDAs through a teleconference.
Members of the committee were taken through orientation to educate them their various duties and responsibilities and advised to be independent bodies from the management of the various Assemblies.
The budget class of the Suaman District Assembly held it 1st quarter meeting on 5th April, 2022 at the Assembly Hall. The meeting was held to discuss the following;

Ghana Celebrated its 65th Independence day Celebration and the Suaman District was not exempted. The District assembly graced the celebration with the school children as they match pass. Dignitaries who were present to grace the occasion include the Hon. DCE, the DCD, Security Forces, Nananom, and Staff of the District Assembly.
