The President of Ghana, H. E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has launched the the 2022 Edition of Green Ghana Day, at the Accra International Conference Centre. The theme for this yearâs exercise is âMobilizing for a Greener Futureâ and it is scheduled for June 10, 2022.
The Green Ghana Initiative seeks to create a collective action towards restoration of degraded landscapes in the country, mitigate climate change and inculcate in the youth the values of planting and nurturing trees and their associated benefits, he continued.
On the 13th of June 2022, the Suaman District Assembly together with the District Chief Executive initiated the Green Ghana project at the District Assembly to help commence the exercise in the district. Various institutions were present to grace the initiative.
